Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 65 years of age
- People with multiple sclerosis (MS) who score between 1.0 and 6.5 on a standard MS disability scale called the EDSS
- People who have had an autoimmune disease formally diagnosed and confirmed during previous treatment
- People whose disease has been getting worse over the last 6 months despite taking first- or second-line medications
- People for whom standard disease-modifying treatments have not worked, are not available, or could not be tolerated
- People who have had a relapse after a previous stem cell transplant (AHSCT)
- People without serious other medical conditions alongside their main diagnosis
- People whose heart is pumping effectively, with a left ventricular ejection fraction above 50% (a measure of how well the heart pumps blood)
- People who score above 30% on the Karnofsky Performance Scale, which measures general ability to carry out daily activities
- People who are able to swallow and take tablets or capsules by mouth
- People with a life expectancy of more than one month
- People who have signed an informed consent form, either personally or through a legal representative
Who may not be able to join:
- People with moderate or serious heart problems, or a heart pumping score at or below 50%
- People with moderate or serious reduced lung function, based on specific breathing test results falling below 70% of what is expected
- People experiencing significant breathing difficulties (above a mild level)
- People with serious liver problems, as shown by certain liver-related blood test results being well above normal ranges
- People with serious kidney problems, including a kidney filtration rate below 60 mL/min
- People who have an uncontrolled bacterial or fungal infection at the time of joining the trial
- People who need medication to maintain their blood pressure at the time of joining the trial
- People who score below 30% on the Karnofsky Performance Scale
- People who are pregnant
- People with a physical or mental health condition that prevents them from being able to sign an informed consent form
