Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who are willing and able to sign a written consent form
- People living with HIV (confirmed through medical records) who are currently on HIV treatment, and/or people who have started or restarted tuberculosis (TB) treatment within the last month, with a positive TB test result (GeneXpert or sputum culture)
- People who smoke more than 5 cigarettes per day
- People who have a motivation to quit smoking of more than 5 out of 10, or who have made at least one quit attempt lasting more than 24 hours in the past year
Who may not be able to join:
- People who regularly use other tobacco products (such as cigars, chewing tobacco, or similar)
- People who currently have an untreated or unstable mental health condition that could interfere with participation (for example, psychosis or bipolar disorder)
- People who are currently using other medications (not provided by this study) specifically to help with quitting smoking
- People who have started Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for smoking cessation within the past year
- People who have been diagnosed with TB that has spread outside the lungs (extra-pulmonary TB), or with drug-resistant TB (MDR or XDR), based on medical records
