Who might be able to join this trial:
- People whose lung fibrosis (IPF) is rated as mild or early-moderate based on a specific disease scoring tool called SCALE-IPF, with a score of 13 points or below
- People who are already taking part in the Assiut University IPF Research Program (2022–2026)

- People experiencing failure of a major organ (such as the liver, kidneys, or heart)
- People who have a known allergy, serious sensitivity, or medical reason why they cannot take either of the study medications (pirfenidone or azithromycin), including significant liver problems or severe reactions to these drugs
