Who might be able to join this trial:

• People whose condition is unstable enough to require a breathing machine or admission to a respiratory intensive care unit
• People experiencing failure of a major organ (such as the liver, kidneys, or heart)
• People who have a known allergy, serious sensitivity, or medical reason why they cannot take either of the study medications (pirfenidone or azithromycin), including significant liver problems or severe reactions to these drugs
