Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 60 years old, of any gender.
- People who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia (according to ICD-10 diagnostic standards), and whose condition is currently in remission or is stable enough to participate in research.
- People who are currently taking at least one antipsychotic or mood-stabilising medication (such as lithium, magnesium valproate, sodium valproate, or lamotrigine).
- People who are currently overweight or obese (a body mass index of 24 kg/m² or higher) and who are willing to use a health app and smart scales as part of a weight loss program.
- People who have completed at least a primary school level of education, are able to understand survey or questionnaire content, and can use a smartphone confidently.
- People who understand the study and are willing to take part voluntarily, including signing a consent form.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who plan to use other weight loss methods during the study, such as strict dieting, induced vomiting, diet pills, or weight loss surgery.
- People who report having already lost 7% or more of their body weight in the past 6 months.
- People who weigh more than 150 kg.
- People whose excess weight is caused by another medical condition, such as an underactive thyroid, Cushing's syndrome, or a condition affecting the hypothalamus.
- People who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, less than 6 months postpartum, or who plan to become pregnant during the study period.
- People who report experiencing heart discomfort or chest pain during physical activity or at rest.
- People with a serious medical condition that the researchers believe could make physical activity unsafe.
- People who are unable to walk for 30 minutes without stopping.
- People who have circumstances that may make it difficult to follow the study protocol, such as a terminal illness, plans to relocate or travel away during the study, a history of substance abuse, or other uncontrolled or untreated medical conditions.
- People whom the trial investigators consider unsuitable for any other reason.
