Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had a type of precise brain radiation treatment called stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS — including Gamma Knife or CyberKnife) for cancer that has spread to the brain
- People with between one and ten newly diagnosed brain tumours that are suitable for this type of radiation treatment
- People who are not currently experiencing sudden or severe neurological symptoms (such as sudden weakness, seizures, or loss of speech)
- People who score 70 or higher on a standard health and functioning scale called the Karnofsky Performance Status (confirm with trial site for exact details)
- People who have had a brain MRI scan within one month before joining the trial
- People whose brain tumours show clear, measurable areas of enhancement (visible change) on an MRI scan
- People for whom follow-up imaging or a second surgical procedure is available to help confirm how the tumour has changed over time
- People whose largest tumour measures more than 1.5 cm at its widest point
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had brain surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, or whole-brain radiation therapy
- People diagnosed with certain cancer types, including leukaemia, lymphoma, germ cell tumours, small-cell lung cancer, cancer spread along the lining of the brain (leptomeningeal disease), or cancer of unknown origin
- People under 18 years of age
- People who do not have a baseline (starting point) MRI scan available
- People whose brain tumours cannot be clearly measured on MRI — including tumours smaller than 10 mm, tumours with unclear borders, or tumours located on the lining of the brain, the bones of the skull, or along the brain's lining (leptomeningeal disease)
