Who might be able to join this trial:
For the Long COVID group:
- You had a confirmed COVID-19 infection (proven by a test or blood test before you were vaccinated) during the first or second wave of COVID-19 (before February 28, 2021)
- Your COVID-19 symptoms have lasted more than 12 weeks after you first got sick
- Your initial COVID-19 illness was mild to moderate and did not require a hospital stay
- Your ongoing symptoms have at some point affected your ability to work by 50% or more
- You have some lung-related problems, such as breathing difficulties, abnormal lung scan results, or airway issues (confirm with trial site for exact details)
- You have experienced significant shortness of breath in the past 2 weeks, AND at least one of the following: reduced airflow in your lungs, reduced lung capacity, air getting trapped in your lungs, or specific abnormal findings on a detailed lung scan
For the Healthy Comparison group:
- You had a confirmed COVID-19 infection during the first or second wave
- You fully recovered within 12 weeks of first getting sick
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a long-term (chronic) health condition of any kind, other than asthma
- Note: If you were diagnosed with asthma after 2020, you may still be eligible for the Long COVID group (confirm with trial site)
