Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be able to safely have an MRI scan (no medical devices or conditions that would prevent this).
  • You must be eligible for a specific type of targeted radiation treatment (called SABR) for either a tumour in the abdomen or a tumour in the central area of the lung, based on established medical guidelines.
  • You must be able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
  • Your expected survival must be more than 6 months.
  • You must have no more than 3 sites of cancer spread (metastases) being treated in total.
  • You must be well enough to carry out some self-care, though you do not need to be fully active (confirm with trial site what this means for your situation).
  • You must be willing to attend follow-up appointments and have your information collected for at least 1 year.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Anyone who is found, after a safety screening check, to have a reason they cannot have an MRI scan.
  • Anyone who cannot tolerate or cope with having an MRI scan.
  • Anyone with serious or poorly controlled illnesses that the trial doctor feels would make participation unsafe.
  • Anyone with significant health problems or abnormal test results that the trial doctor feels would make participation unsuitable.
  • Anyone known to have active Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV.
