- People who have been diagnosed with glioblastoma (a type of brain tumour) or brain metastasis (cancer that has spread to the brain) confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue, where the tumour appears to have grown or returned on a standard MRI scan after completing first-line treatment, and where planned (non-emergency) surgery to remove the tumour is being considered.

- People who cannot have an MRI scan for medical reasons, such as severe claustrophobia, a pacemaker, or other implanted devices that are not approved for use with MRI, or who are pregnant.
- People whose health is currently in a life-threatening state.
- People who need emergency surgery immediately.
- People whose tissue samples from laboratory analysis were not of good enough quality to produce a reliable result.
- People who are not able to understand or sign a consent form.
- People under 18 years of age.
