AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with a type of brain tumor called glioblastoma in the upper part of the brain, based on imaging scans (such as an MRI), OR your glioblastoma has come back for the first time after previously being confirmed by a tissue biopsy
  • You are scheduled to have brain surgery for glioblastoma at the Neurosurgery Unit at Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli IRCCS
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are willing and able to give written consent to take part in the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • Not enough tissue was removed during surgery to allow both the standard medical tests and the research tests to be carried out, as decided by the lead researcher
  • Your tissue sample does not confirm a final diagnosis of glioblastoma in the upper part of the brain, according to the 2021 World Health Organization classification of brain tumors
