Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman who has survived a sexual assault and came to an emergency care location within 72 hours of the assault
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You speak and understand English
- You are able to agree to take part in the study on your own (give informed consent)
- You own a smartphone with a continuous phone/data plan that you have had for more than 1 year
- You use cannabis (marijuana) more than once a week, based on a substance use screening questionnaire
- You score above 17 on a questionnaire measuring sensitivity to anxiety (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are unable to give informed consent — for example, due to a serious injury affecting your ability to hear, speak, or see, or due to a diagnosed cognitive condition or dementia
- You are currently in prison or jail
- You are currently pregnant
- You live with the person who assaulted you and plan to continue living with them
- You are being admitted and staying in the hospital (as an inpatient)
- You do not have a mailing address
- You have already taken part in this study before
- You did not have a sexual assault nurse examination (a specific medical examination carried out after a sexual assault) (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently having thoughts with a plan and intent to harm yourself or someone else
- You do not read or understand written and spoken English
