Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (a type of blood cancer, but not the specific subtype called acute promyelocytic leukemia) and whose disease is currently in first complete remission (meaning treatment has worked and signs of cancer are no longer detectable)
- People who have a bone marrow disorder called myelodysplasia syndrome, where between 5% and 20% of their bone marrow cells are abnormal blast cells at the time of transplant

- People with acute myeloid leukemia that has spread to the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) or to other parts of the body outside the bone marrow
- People who currently have an active infection, whether caused by a virus, bacteria, or fungus
- People who have hepatitis B virus levels above a certain threshold in their blood (confirm with trial site for exact measurement)
- People who have abnormal liver function, kidney function, breathing problems, or heart problems
- People who have a mental health condition that is not currently under control
- People who have HIV
