Who might be able to join this trial:

Sequelae Group (people who were hospitalised with COVID-19):

• Adults aged 18 or older at the time of screening
• People who had COVID-19 confirmed by a PCR test and were hospitalised because of it
• People who do not have a pre-existing history of scarring or inflammation of the lungs (interstitial lung disease) or other significant lung disease

Control Recovery Group (people who had mild COVID-19):

• Adults aged 18 or older at the time of screening
• People who had COVID-19 confirmed by a PCR test but had no symptoms or only mild illness and did not need to be hospitalised
• People who do not have a pre-existing history of scarring or inflammation of the lungs or other significant lung disease, and who have no ongoing breathing or other body-wide symptoms

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are unable to give informed consent to participate
• People with a known pre-existing history of lung scarring, inflammation, or other chronic lung disease
• People who currently smoke cigarettes, vape, or inhale any other substances
• People whose immune system is suppressed due to taking medications such as methotrexate, CellCept, azathioprine, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, or similar biological medicines
• People with a smoking history of more than 20 pack-years (confirm with trial site for clarification on how this is calculated)
• People who have had chemotherapy or radiation treatment within the last two years
• People who are currently pregnant
