Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been clinically diagnosed with ADHD according to the DSM-5 diagnostic guidelines
  • Children aged 6 to 12 years old, of any gender
  • Children who are right-handed
  • Children of Han nationality, or children born within a Han nationality community
  • Children whose ADHD symptoms have been present for more than 6 months
  • Children whose intelligence score, as measured by the Wechsler children's intelligence test, is 70 or above
  • Children whose parent or legal guardian has agreed to participate and has signed a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

  • Children who also have a mental health condition such as anxiety or depression
  • Children who have a widespread developmental disorder or other neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Children who have a serious condition affecting major organs such as the heart or lungs
  • Children who have epilepsy or a tic disorder
  • Children who are unable to tolerate or cooperate with rTMS treatment (a type of non-invasive brain stimulation therapy)
  • Children who have taken certain medications — including psychoactive drugs, antipsychotics, antidepressants, or mood stabilisers — in the 3 months before enrolling or during the treatment period; or children who have used standard first-line ADHD medications (other than a low dose of Atomoxetine at 1.2–1.4 mg/kg per day) (confirm with trial site)
  • Children who have metal or electronic devices implanted in their body, such as a pacemaker (devices in the mouth are excluded from this rule)
