Who might be able to join this trial:

For people with a blood disorder called MPN (110 participants):

• You have been diagnosed with one of three specific blood conditions: Polycythemia Vera (PV), Essential Thrombocythemia (ET), or Primary Myelofibrosis (PMF)
• A specific type of DNA sample was collected from your white blood cells at the time of your diagnosis
• You have not received treatments such as chemotherapy or immunosuppressants that could affect DNA at the time of the sample

For people without MPN (10 participants):

• You do not have a blood cancer or blood disorder
• You were tested for a specific gene mutation (JAK2V617F) because of high platelet counts or high red blood cell levels for reasons other than MPN
• You have not received treatments such as chemotherapy or immunosuppressants that could affect DNA at the time of the sample

Who may not be able to join:

For people with MPN:

• You do not have PV, ET, or PMF
• The required DNA sample from your white blood cells was not collected at the time of your diagnosis
• You were receiving certain treatments (such as chemotherapy, drugs that affect DNA, or immunosuppressants) at the time your DNA sample was taken
• You have been followed up for less than 2 years since diagnosis

For people without MPN:

• You have any type of blood cancer or solid tumour (cancer in an organ)
• You were receiving certain treatments (such as chemotherapy, drugs that affect DNA, or immunosuppressants) at the time your DNA sample was taken
