Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 65 years old
- People who have received a primary diagnosis of PTSD, confirmed through the trial's own pre-treatment assessment
- People who are able to give informed consent to participate
- People who can read, write, and speak English well enough to complete the study assessments
- People who live within 30 kilometres of London, Ontario
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have implants, devices, or medical conditions that do not meet the safety requirements for 7 Tesla MRI scanning (for example, a pacemaker, or current or possible pregnancy)
- People with a history of a significant head injury or a lengthy period of unconsciousness (for example, a serious brain injury at the time of the incident)
- People with a significant medical illness that is currently untreated
- People with a history of a neurological or neurodevelopmental condition
- People with a history of a pervasive developmental disorder (confirm with trial site)
- People with a lifetime history of bipolar disorder or a psychotic disorder
- People who have had problems with alcohol or substance misuse or dependence within the last 3 months
- People with extensive use of strong narcotic medications such as fentanyl or oxycodone
- People who the trial's pre-treatment assessment determines would not be suitable for short-term treatment
- People who have made a suicide attempt within the last 6 months
