Who might be able to join this trial:
- People diagnosed with stage IV lung adenocarcinoma (a type of lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body) that has been confirmed by tissue or cell testing, and where surgery or radiotherapy to fully remove the cancer is not possible
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain, confirmed by a scan
- People whose brain metastases (cancer spread to the brain) are not causing symptoms at the time of first diagnosis, or whose brain metastases have already been treated with surgery or radiotherapy
- People with a general health and activity level rated 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale, meaning they are fully active or have only minor limitations in physical activity
- People who have at least one measurable area of cancer outside the brain, as defined by standard medical measurement guidelines
- People with a life expectancy of more than 3 months
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously been treated with certain immune-based therapies, including drugs that target PD-1, PD-L1, or CTLA-4
- People who have previously received chemotherapy as a treatment for advanced-stage disease
- People whose cancer has a specific genetic change known as an EGFR mutation or an ALK gene translocation
- People who received any approved systemic (whole-body) cancer treatment or immune-modifying drugs — including interferon, interleukin-2, or tumour necrosis factor — within the 4 weeks before starting the trial
- People who have uncontrolled fluid build-up around the lungs or in the abdomen that required draining within the 2 weeks before starting the trial
