For People with Myasthenia Gravis (MG):

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG), either through a positive blood test for certain antibodies or through clinical symptoms if the blood test was negative
  • You have been on a stable treatment plan for your MG for at least 1 month
  • You are able to stand continuously for about 15 minutes, with or without a walking aid or other assistive device
  • You show signs of muscle fatigue in your arms and/or legs as measured by a specific muscle strength test used in MG (confirm with trial site)
  • You have at least some ability to lift your limbs against gravity, as tested by a hands-on strength assessment (confirm with trial site)
  • Your doctor has cleared you to take part in an exercise program
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to participate
  • You are able to attend all required visits, keep your usual level of physical activity the same throughout the study, and do not plan to move away during the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently taking part in another research study that involves a treatment or intervention
  • You are unable to stand continuously for 15 minutes, even with an assistive device
  • You have been doing regular strength training (2 or more times per week) for the past 6 months
  • You show no signs of muscle fatigue in your arms or legs on a specific MG muscle test (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a pacemaker, metal implants, or other implanted medical devices that could be affected by a type of electrical muscle stimulation used in the study
  • You have an unstable ongoing or long-term illness, such as kidney failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart rhythm problems, rheumatic disease, or cancer
  • You are known to be pregnant at the time of screening
  • You have a terminal illness and are currently receiving end-of-life care
  • You have used medications known to affect muscle size or performance (such as anabolic steroids, growth hormone, or hormone therapies) in the past 6 months
  • You have another nerve or muscle condition that affects how you move or feel, such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, a history of stroke, spinal cord injury, or other similar conditions
  • You have had a significant joint or muscle problem, or surgery (such as knee or hip replacement, or spinal fusion) in the past year that could affect your ability to exercise
  • You have any other health condition that the study team believes would interfere with the study

For Healthy Volunteers (Comparison Group):

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 18 and 39 years old
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to participate

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently taking part in another research study that involves a treatment or intervention
  • You have an unstable ongoing or long-term illness, such as kidney failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart rhythm problems, rheumatic disease, or cancer
  • You have a terminal illness and are currently receiving end-of-life care
  • You have used medications known to affect muscle size or performance (such as anabolic steroids, growth hormone, or hormone therapies) in the past 6 months
  • You have a nerve or muscle condition that affects how you move or feel, such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, a history of stroke, spinal cord injury, or other similar conditions
  • You have had a significant joint or muscle problem, or surgery (such as knee or hip replacement, or spinal fusion) in the past year that could affect your ability to exercise

Note: Healthy volunteers will only need to attend one session for a specific muscle activity test.
