Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman aged 18 or older
- You have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) that has been stable, meaning your condition has not gotten significantly worse in the last 6 months, and your disability level is within a certain range (confirm with trial site)
- You have been experiencing bladder control problems related to your nervous system for at least 3 months, and these symptoms score at a certain level on a standard questionnaire (confirm with trial site)
- You have scored above 10 on a standard memory and thinking assessment (confirm with trial site)
- You have at least one bladder storage problem, such as needing to urinate frequently, feeling sudden strong urges to urinate, waking at night to urinate, or experiencing leakage
- If you currently have a urinary tract infection (UTI), you may still be eligible after it has been treated and cleared
Who may not be able to join:
- You are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding
- Tests have shown that your bladder has a blockage in the outlet
- You have a Baclofen pump, any other pump that delivers medicine directly to the spine, or a pacemaker
- You have a personal or immediate family history of seizures, or you take certain medications or drink heavily in ways that could increase the risk of seizures (such as the medication Wellbutrin/bupropion)
- You have a history of bipolar disorder, or you take certain medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, lithium, Wellbutrin, or antihistamines that could affect this condition
- You have any lesions inside the skull or have had a bleeding stroke
- You have a moderate to severe heart condition or unstable chest pain (angina)
- You have a history of a condition called Autonomic Dysreflexia, which involves sudden dangerous changes in blood pressure (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of a painful bladder condition called interstitial cystitis, or have had radiation treatment to the pelvic area
- You have received Botox injections into the bladder muscle within the last 6 months
- You are currently incarcerated
- You have an active nerve stimulation device in the sacral area or any other active spinal stimulator
- You have a permanent catheter inserted into your bladder through the urethra or abdomen
