Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have an active diagnosis of ER+ (estrogen receptor positive) breast cancer, confirmed by biopsy, and who have brain metastases (cancer that has spread to the brain) that are either new or have come back, confirmed by biopsy or suspected based on an MRI scan
- People who are able to give their informed consent to take part in the trial
- People who stopped taking certain hormone-blocking medications at least 8 weeks ago (ER modulators) or at least 28 weeks ago (ER down regulators), as guided by the manufacturer's instructions
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have a good general level of physical functioning, rated 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale (confirm with trial site)
- People whose life expectancy is estimated to be at least 6 months
- People who are already planned to receive radiation treatment for their brain metastases
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant
- People who are unable to undergo standard of care treatment (confirm with trial site)
- People who have an allergy to FES, which is the imaging agent used in this trial (confirm with trial site)
