Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have had a mild traumatic brain injury (concussion) within the last 12 months, diagnosed using World Health Organization guidelines
  • You were between 18 and 65 years old at the time of your concussion
  • You are currently experiencing a high level of post-concussion symptoms, shown by scoring 20 or higher on a standard post-concussion symptom questionnaire (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have measurable neurological problems that a doctor can detect during an examination (confirm with trial site)
  • You had a previous concussion within the past 2 years that caused symptoms lasting longer than 3 months
  • You have previously received a treatment called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which uses magnetic pulses directed at the brain
  • You have a reason why TMS treatment or MRI scans would not be safe for you, such as having a metal implant in your body (not including dental work) or a pacemaker
  • You have a serious mental, physical, or medical condition that could make participation difficult or unsafe, such as liver, kidney, or heart disease, uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure, cancer, psychosis, a history of seizures, or pregnancy
  • You are currently misusing alcohol or illegal drugs
  • You are unable to speak and read English
