Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer affecting the head and neck area), confirmed through a tissue sample test
- People whose cancer (either the main tumour or affected lymph nodes) is larger than 3cm
- People who are reasonably well and able to carry out daily activities (based on a standard fitness scale used in cancer care, rated 0–2)

- People who are willing to have repeat MRI scans as part of the study
- People who are able to understand spoken and written information about the study and can sign a consent form

Who may not be able to join:
- People who, in the opinion of the study doctor, have other serious illnesses that make participation unsuitable
- People who have a medical reason why they cannot have MRI scans
- People who have had another solid tumour (a type of cancer) that was treated within the last 5 years
- People who are pregnant
- People who have previously had an allergic reaction to gadolinium contrast dye (a substance sometimes used in MRI scans)
- People who have a blood clotting disorder that cannot be corrected or reversed
