Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are veterans and have been diagnosed with PTSD, confirmed through their medical records and a score of 33 or higher on a standard PTSD symptom questionnaire called the PCL-5
- People who score 12 or higher on a 5-item questionnaire that measures anger reactions
- People whose psychiatric medications (type and dose) have not changed in the past 3 months, and who have no plans to change them in the next 6 months
- People who are able to read at approximately a 6th grade level or above
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently experiencing active psychosis (a break from reality) or mania (an extreme high mood state)
- People who are currently having serious thoughts of harming themselves or others that require immediate professional attention
- People who have previously used an application called MARI as part of another research study
- People who are currently receiving, or planning to receive, anger management therapy or trauma-focused therapy for PTSD (such as prolonged exposure therapy or cognitive processing therapy) during the time the study is running
