Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have signed the study's consent form, which has been approved by a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC)
  • People diagnosed with a non-inflammatory degenerative joint condition such as osteoarthritis or avascular necrosis (bone tissue death due to reduced blood supply), and/or rheumatoid arthritis
  • People whose doctor has determined they are a suitable candidate for a first-time hip replacement surgery using implants that are fixed without bone cement
  • People who have been fully informed about the study conditions and are willing to attend all required follow-up appointments for the duration of the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have an active infection, or a suspected hidden infection, in or around the hip joint at the time of the surgery
  • People who have a mental health condition or a disorder affecting muscles or nerves that could create unsafe risks with the implant or make post-surgery care too difficult to manage
  • People whose bone quality is too poor — due to disease, infection, or a previous implant — to properly support or hold the new hip implant in place
  • People whose immune system is suppressed, or who have been taking steroid medications at higher-than-normal levels for more than 30 days
  • People who need a revision hip replacement (a repeat surgery to fix or replace a previous hip implant) or a hip fusion procedure on the affected joint
  • People who have a known allergy or sensitivity to the materials used in the study device
  • People who are currently involved in an active Workers' Compensation investigation
