Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with ureteral cancer (cancer in the tube that connects the kidney to the bladder) with certain high-risk features, such as the cancer appearing in multiple spots, being a high-grade (aggressive) type, or having grown into surrounding tissue
  • You have had or are planning to have surgery, either to remove part of the ureter or to remove the entire kidney, ureter, and part of the bladder
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have had a CT scan of your abdomen and pelvis within 4 weeks before joining, showing the cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body or nearby lymph nodes
  • You have not had any other cancer in the last 5 years, except for certain skin cancers (non-melanoma) or a non-invasive form of breast cancer (ductal carcinoma in situ)
  • You are willing to attend all required check-ups and tests as part of the study, and you are willing to sign a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your cancer has already spread to distant parts of the body or to lymph nodes near the back of the abdomen at the time of surgery, or your surgery was unable to remove all visible cancer, or you have a history of bladder cancer
  • You have previously had radiation therapy to your pelvis or abdomen, have a history of inflammatory bowel disease, or have previously received chemotherapy given throughout your whole body
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are able to become pregnant but are not using a reliable form of contraception
  • You have an active infection, or you have a pre-existing condition that affects your blood's ability to clot properly
  • You have a significant heart or blood vessel condition, such as high blood pressure not well controlled by medication, unstable chest pain (angina), moderate-to-severe heart failure, unstable heart rhythm problems, or significant circulation problems in your limbs (confirm with trial site)
  • There are psychological, family, or social reasons that prevent you from being able to give informed consent
