Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are older than 18 years of age
  • You have already completed your main treatment for head and neck cancer
  • Your cancer is no longer detected (you have been told there is no sign of cancer)
  • You have already finished an initial course of therapy for swelling (lymphedema) in your head and neck area
  • You are currently unable to access ongoing lymphedema therapy due to barriers such as distance, cost, or availability
  • You have a history of swelling (lymphedema) in your face and/or neck, with or without tissue stiffening (fibrosis)
  • You are able to read and understand English well enough to fill out questionnaires
  • You are able to carry out self-care activities to manage your swelling at home
  • You are willing and able to give your informed consent to take part in the study
  • You have access to an electronic device (such as a computer, tablet, iPad, or smartphone) and a home internet connection
  • You have a valid email address

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your cancer has come back or has spread to other parts of the body
  • You have any other currently active cancer
  • You currently have an active infection
  • You currently have a sudden or severe episode of heart failure
  • You currently have a sudden or severe drop in kidney function
  • You have fluid build-up around the heart or lungs
  • You have a sensitive area near a major blood vessel in your neck called the carotid sinus (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a severe blockage in the main arteries in your neck (carotid arteries)
  • You have high blood pressure that is not being controlled with treatment
  • You have a blood clot in a vein
  • You are currently pregnant
  • You are currently incarcerated
