Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with a specific gene change called a TP53 mutation (confirm with trial site)
- You had your first stem cell transplant from a donor, and a test done within the last 2 months showed no signs of remaining cancer cells (called MRD negative)
- You are between 12 and 65 years old (male or female)
- You are generally able to carry out daily activities and are expected to live for more than 3 months (as assessed by your doctor using a standard scoring tool)
- You have not had serious complications from your transplant, such as severe graft-versus-host disease (a condition where transplanted cells attack the body), and your heart, kidneys, and blood counts are within acceptable ranges
Who may not be able to join:
- You have serious problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver
- You have another type of cancer that currently needs treatment
- You have a brain condition or severe mental illness that makes it difficult to understand or follow the study instructions
- You are unable to complete the required treatments and follow-up visits
- You have a history of severe allergic reactions
- You currently have a serious infection that cannot be controlled with treatment
- You are already taking part in another clinical trial
- Your doctor feels there are other reasons that make joining this trial unsuitable for you (confirm with trial site)
