Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with cervical cancer confirmed by a biopsy, specifically squamous-cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, or adeno-squamous cell carcinoma
- People whose cervical cancer has been classified at a specific stage (FIGO stage IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, or IIIC1)
- People whose medical team has discussed and agreed that a full course of combined radiation and chemotherapy treatment, including internal radiation (brachytherapy), is appropriate for them
- People with a general health and activity level score of at least 70% on the Karnofsky scale, meaning they are able to carry out normal activity with some effort (confirm with trial site)

- People whose cervical cancer has been classified at a more advanced stage (FIGO stage IIIC2 or stage IV)
- People whose cancer has spread to lymph nodes near the large blood vessels in the abdomen (paraaortic lymph nodes)
- People whose cervical cancer is a rare type, such as small cell neuroendocrine cancer or melanoma
- People who have previously had radiation treatment to the pelvic area
- People who have previously had their uterus fully or partially removed (hysterectomy)
- People who have already received chemotherapy before this treatment (neoadjuvant chemotherapy)
- People who are unable to have an MRI scan with contrast dye — for example, due to a pacemaker, certain implants, or an allergy to the contrast agent used (gadolinium)
- People who experience severe anxiety in enclosed spaces (claustrophobia)
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have had another cancer diagnosed within the past 5 years, except for very early-stage cervical changes (carcinoma in situ) or a common type of skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma)
- People who are already enrolled in another clinical study that could affect the results of this trial
