Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 16 and 60 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE/Lupus) according to a specific set of medical guidelines from 2012
- People who have had a kidney biopsy within the last 6 months showing a specific type of lupus-related kidney disease (classified as type III, IV, V+III, or V+IV)

- People who have a kidney disease unrelated to lupus
- People with a very low platelet count (a blood cell type important for clotting) below a certain level
- People with certain liver enzyme levels that are elevated above the normal range
- People with certain liver or blood fat (cholesterol/lipid) markers that are significantly above the normal range
- People the trial investigators consider unsuitable for other reasons (confirm with trial site)
