Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged between 18 and 75 years, either male or female.
- People who have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis for at least 6 months and who meet a specific set of recognised classification criteria for psoriatic arthritis at the screening visit.
- People with active joint inflammation, meaning at least 3 swollen joints and at least 3 tender joints, confirmed at both the screening and baseline visits.
- People who have active plaque psoriasis skin lesions, or who have a documented medical history of plaque psoriasis, at the time of screening.
- People whose blood test at screening shows a certain level of inflammation (a marker called hs-CRP at 3mg/L or above).
- People who have never previously been treated with biologic medications, or people who have tried one type of biologic medication called a TNF-inhibitor but it did not work well enough for them or they could not tolerate it.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a type of psoriasis other than plaque psoriasis (such as guttate, inverse, pustular, erythrodermic, or drug-induced psoriasis). Nail psoriasis is an exception and is permitted.
- People who have another autoimmune or autoinflammatory condition, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or gout. An exception may apply for people with inflammatory bowel disease or autoimmune uveitis, provided those conditions have been inactive for at least 12 months before screening, as determined by the investigating doctor.
- People who currently have active fibromyalgia syndrome.
- People who have a recent history of active infection, a history of ongoing chronic infection, or are considered at risk of serious infection.
