Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have been diagnosed with malignant melanoma (skin cancer) and/or kidney cancer, confirmed by a tissue sample test.
- You have received a specific type of cancer immunotherapy drug (such as Nivolumab, Pembrolizumab, Cemiplimab, Atezolizumab, Durvalumab, Avelumab, or Ipilimumab), either alone or in combination, within the last 8 weeks.
- You are experiencing moderate to severe diarrhea (at least a certain number of loose or watery stools per day) as a side effect of your immunotherapy treatment.
- A stool test has come back negative for infections, including a bacteria called C. difficile, after your diarrhea started.
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form to take part in the trial.
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have a bacterial infection that requires antibiotic treatment.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding (a urine pregnancy test may be required to confirm this for some people).
- You had a pre-existing bowel condition causing diarrhea before starting immunotherapy, such as inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis).
- You are unable to swallow capsules.
- You are unable to understand written or spoken information about the trial (confirm with trial site).
