Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (a type of cancer) of the gallbladder, confirmed through a biopsy or tissue sample. This includes cancers starting at the neck of the gallbladder that may look similar to a nearby bile duct cancer.

- People whose cancer has either stayed stable or partially shrunk after 3 months of chemotherapy treatment based on a drug called Gemcitabine.
- People who are over 18 years of age.
- People who are well enough to receive chemotherapy, based on a standard fitness scale used by doctors (rated 0, 1, or 2 out of 4, where lower numbers mean fewer limitations on daily activity).
- People whose blood counts, kidney function, and liver function are within acceptable ranges to safely receive chemotherapy — the trial site will check specific blood test results to confirm this.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread to distant parts of the body, including lymph nodes that are not close to the original tumour.
- People who have previously had radiation therapy to the abdomen.
- People who have had another type of cancer in the past or present that was not fully cured, or that was treated but has not been in remission for more than 5 years — except for certain skin cancers or early-stage cervical cancer that were fully treated.
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
