  • You have a new or returning appointment at the BC Women's Centre for Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis.
  • You have previously agreed to be contacted for future research through the centre's data registry.
  • You have endometriosis that has been confirmed by surgery, shown on imaging, or suspected by a doctor at your appointment.
  • You are between 19 and 49 years old.
  • You are willing and able to complete six questionnaires about pain.
  • You are willing and able to take part in a type of physical sensitivity testing called QST (confirm with trial site for details on what this involves).

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have gone through menopause.
  • You do not speak English.
  • You have diabetes or a nerve-related condition that causes pain (for the QST part of the study).
  • You have previously had a large surgical cut on your abdomen (for the QST part of the study).
  • You have had surgery, scarring, or physical injury to specific areas of the body used during the sensitivity testing — specifically the shoulder muscle area or the base of the thumb (for the QST part of the study).
