• People who have been diagnosed with bladder cancer and have not yet received any chemotherapy treatment

• People who have a severe infection or blood poisoning (sepsis), including any infection serious enough to require a hospital stay or the need for oxygen support or other emergency measures
• People who drink alcohol
• People who have serious breathing problems or respiratory failure
• People who have severe liver disease (at an advanced stage known as Child-Pugh class C)
• People whose cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastasis)
