Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 21 or older who have chronic migraine that is being managed with medication, including preventive medications, acute (as-needed) medications, or both — as well as people who have declined preventive medication even after their neurologist recommended it.
- People who feel their current migraine medications are not working well enough, based on their own report.
- People who have had a history of migraine (with or without aura) for at least one year.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have already received laser acupuncture therapy or traditional acupuncture at the time of enrolment.
- People whose migraines first started after the age of 50.
- People who have cognitive or psychological difficulties that would affect their ability to follow the laser acupuncture treatment process or describe their symptoms.
- People who have missing health information at the start of the trial or during the follow-up period.
