Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are male or female, aged between 18 and 80 years old.
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you agree to either avoid sex or use contraception throughout the study.
• You are able to understand the study and give written consent to take part after being fully informed about what it involves.
• You have been on haemodialysis (kidney dialysis) for at least 2 months and your treatment is stable.
• You attend haemodialysis three times per week.
• You have a permanent dialysis access point, such as a fistula, graft, or a long-term dialysis catheter.
• Your kidney failure was not caused by a condition called primary hyperoxaluria.
• Your blood oxalate level (a naturally occurring substance measured in your blood) is at or above a certain level (≥20 μmol/L).
• You have not had any major changes to your regular medicines or diet in the last 2 months.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have been diagnosed with a condition called primary hyperoxaluria (types 1, 2, or 3), or have a known gene change that causes it.
• You have been on haemodialysis for less than 2 months.
• You are on peritoneal dialysis (a different type of dialysis) instead of, or as well as, haemodialysis.
• Your dialysis access is temporary or not working well.
• You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding.
• You have a bowel or digestive condition such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, short gut syndrome, or a condition that affects how your gut absorbs nutrients.
• You have severe liver failure.
• You currently have an active infection or are taking antibiotics.
• You are currently taking more than 250mg of Vitamin C per day.
• You have a terminal illness or are not expected to live for more than 1 year.
• You have a psychiatric (mental health) condition that is currently uncontrolled and would make it difficult to follow the study requirements.
• You are under an institutional order from a court or government.
• You may be in a situation where you could feel pressured into joining the study due to a relationship with those running it (confirm with trial site).
• Your liver function blood test results are significantly abnormal — specifically, certain liver enzyme levels are more than twice the normal upper limit (confirm with trial site).
