Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are able to understand the research, are willing to take part, and can sign a consent form
- People with a general health status rated as reasonably functional (on a standard scale used by doctors to measure how well a person can carry out daily activities — confirm with trial site)
- People whose cancer (either at the original site or a site where it has spread) has been confirmed by a tissue sample taken from a biopsy or surgery
- People who have brain metastases (cancer that has spread to the brain) confirmed by an MRI scan, with measurable tumours that are suitable for a targeted form of radiation treatment called stereotactic radiotherapy — with no more than 15 separate tumour spots and no single tumour larger than 20cc in volume
- People whose doctors estimate they are likely to live for at least 3 more months
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread widely and diffusely throughout the brain, or whose cancer has spread to the lining around the brain (meninges), or for whom the targeted radiotherapy treatment would not be technically possible
- People who have serious other health conditions or medical reasons that mean radiotherapy cannot safely be given
- People whom the trial team considers unsuitable for other reasons, such as concerns about whether they would be able to follow the trial's requirements
