Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with childhood-onset lupus (cSLE) before the age of 18, based on recognised classification guidelines
- People who are between 12 and 22 years old
- People who experience at least one of the following: notable fatigue, depressive symptoms, or pain averaging 3 or more out of 10 — as measured by specific standardised questionnaires used by the trial
- People who can communicate in English (a parent or main caregiver who speaks English or Spanish may also allow a child to be considered for enrolment)
- People under 18 years old (in the US) or under 16 years old (in Canada) must have a caregiver who is willing and able to give consent for their participation
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have other ongoing long-term medical conditions, such as juvenile arthritis
- People who have a documented developmental delay, severe cognitive impairment, or a thought disorder
- People who have an untreated major psychiatric condition — such as bipolar disorder, psychosis, or severe depression — or who are currently experiencing active thoughts of suicide, as determined through questionnaires and a clinical interview
