Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have been diagnosed with non-infectious uveitis (inflammation in the middle, back, or throughout the eye) in at least one eye, confirmed by your medical history
• Your uveitis has shown signs of being active in the past 3 months, even while taking more than 7mg per day of oral prednisone (a steroid medication)
• You have had a recent chest X-ray or CT scan (within the last 12 weeks) showing no signs of active tuberculosis, active infection, or cancer
• If you have tested positive for a latent (inactive) tuberculosis infection, you may still be eligible if your chest X-ray looks clear, you have no symptoms of tuberculosis, and you agree to complete a preventive tuberculosis treatment course
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have a negative pregnancy test at the time of joining
• If you could father or become pregnant, you are willing to use reliable contraception during the study and for a set period after stopping treatment (3 months after stopping one medication, 5 months after stopping the other)
• You are covered by a social security (healthcare) system

Who may not be able to join:

• Your uveitis is caused by an infection, or only affects the front part of the eye
• You only have sight in one eye
• You have active tuberculosis
• You have tested positive for HIV, Hepatitis C, or Hepatitis B
• You have had cancer in the past 5 years (with some exceptions for certain minor skin cancers or early-stage cervical changes — confirm with trial site)
• You have had a severe allergic or anaphylactic reaction to certain medications used in this trial (confirm with trial site)
• You have had an infection requiring intravenous (IV) antibiotics in the 3 weeks before joining
• You have a history of multiple sclerosis or a condition affecting the myelin (protective covering) of your nerves
• Your blood test results show certain abnormalities, such as low red blood cells, low white blood cells, low platelets, poor kidney function, or raised liver enzymes (confirm with trial site)
• You have received certain strong chemotherapy-type drugs in the past 12 months, or a live vaccine in the past 4 weeks
• You have a serious heart condition classified as Stage III or IV heart failure
• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are currently under legal protection or guardianship
