Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults aged 18 to 90 years old
  • People who have a previously diagnosed glioblastoma (a type of brain tumour), classified according to the 2021 World Health Organisation brain tumour guidelines, that has come back after earlier treatment
  • People whose tumour is located in or close to important brain areas that control movement, sensation, speech, or vision, as shown on an MRI scan
  • People whose tumour is considered suitable for surgical removal, as determined by a neurosurgeon
  • People who are able to provide written agreement to participate in the trial

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose tumour is located in the cerebellum, brainstem, or along the midline of the brain
  • People who have multiple tumour spots showing up on contrast-enhanced imaging (a type of detailed scan)
  • People who cannot have an MRI scan for medical reasons, such as having a pacemaker
  • People who are unable to provide written consent to participate
  • People whose high-grade brain tumour developed as a result of a lower-grade tumour changing over time (known as malignant transformation)
  • People for whom the necessary medical information from their original diagnosis is not available (confirm with trial site)
