Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with stage IB1 cervical cancer based on a physical examination and MRI scan
  • People whose cancer type has been confirmed by a tissue sample as squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix

  • People who are willing to sign a consent form and follow the study requirements

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with a history of infertility, including cases related to fallopian tube problems or their partner's fertility
  • People who have an active autoimmune disease, or a history of one that required ongoing treatment (such as certain conditions affecting the liver, lungs, eyes, bowel, thyroid, or blood vessels)
  • People who have previously been treated with certain immune-based cancer therapies (such as anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 drugs), or who have a known allergy to the study medication or similar treatments
  • People with a known HIV infection, or active hepatitis B or C
  • People who have taken immune-suppressing medications or high-dose steroids within the 2 weeks before the study treatment begins
  • People with a history of another cancer, or who have previously had chemotherapy or radiation therapy to the pelvis
  • People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding; the trial also requires effective contraception to be used during treatment and for a set period afterwards
  • People with serious or uncontrolled heart conditions, high blood pressure, recent stroke, bleeding disorders, serious infections, or significant liver or kidney problems
  • People who have received a live or weakened vaccine within 4 weeks before the first dose (standard flu vaccines are permitted)
  • People who have previously had a bone marrow or organ transplant
  • People with drug or alcohol dependency
  • People who, in the study doctor's opinion, are unlikely to be able to follow the study requirements
