Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), confirmed by a genetic test report
- You are at least 6 years old
- You are able to walk
- You have been on a stable steroid (glucocorticoid) treatment for more than 3 months
Who may not be able to join:
- You are unable to have an MRI scan — for example, due to severe claustrophobia, having metal implants in your body, or being unwilling to do the test
- You have serious or unstable health problems, such as severe heart muscle disease, poor heart pumping function, abnormal heart rhythm shown on a heart tracing (ECG), uncontrolled seizures, or uncontrolled very high or very low blood pressure
- You have another condition that affects how your muscles work or use energy — for example, myasthenia gravis, a hormone disorder, or a mitochondrial disease
- You have another condition that affects your development or movement control (such as cerebral palsy), or you have previously had a severe episode of muscle breakdown without a clear cause
- You take certain medications that would not be safe to combine with the study drug — including nitrates, certain blood pressure medications called alpha-blockers, other similar drugs in the same class as the study drug, or any other medicines known to affect blood flow or muscle energy use (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial or a trial for an FDA-approved treatment during the study period
