Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- A swab test has detected a virus (HPV) using either mRNA or DNA testing (results from outside this trial site may also count)
- A specific area of the cervix called the transformation zone, and the edges of any affected areas, are clearly visible during examination at a level described as T1 or T2 (confirm with trial site)
- You are willing and able to give written consent to take part in the study
(Note: These criteria apply to both the treatment group and the comparison/control group in this trial.)
Who may not be able to join:
- The transformation zone of the cervix cannot be fully seen during examination
- There are signs that the condition has spread in a more serious way (invasive disease)
- You have serious heart or blood vessel (cardiovascular) disease
