- People with a history of serious heart, lung, liver, or kidney problems

- People who regularly use opioid pain medications
- People with certain blood clotting abnormalities detected before the procedure
- People who have an infection or growth near the injection site in the neck
- People whose neck anatomy has been altered by previous radiation therapy or surgery
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with a history of psychological disorders
- People who are not willing to sign a consent form to participate
