Who might be able to join this trial:
For people with Fabry disease:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are able to understand and agree to participate in the study (give informed consent)
For people in the control group (without Fabry disease):
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are able to understand and agree to participate in the study (give informed consent)
Who may not be able to join:
For people with Fabry disease:
- You have a reason why you cannot have an MRI scan, such as claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), metal objects in your body, implanted devices, or tattoos/permanent makeup that are not confirmed safe for MRI
- You are currently pregnant
For people in the control group:
- You have been diagnosed with Fabry disease through genetic testing
- You are a family member of someone who has been diagnosed with Fabry disease through genetic testing
- You have cancer that is expected to affect your life expectancy
- You have known heart failure, have previously had a stroke, or have an established kidney disease
- Your blood pressure medication has been started or changed within the last 3 months before joining the study
- You have a certain level of reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site)
- You have a reason why you cannot have an MRI scan, such as claustrophobia, metal objects in your body, implanted devices, or tattoos/permanent makeup that are not confirmed safe for MRI
- You are currently pregnant
