For people with Fabry disease:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are able to understand and agree to participate in the study (give informed consent)

For people in the control group (without Fabry disease):

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are able to understand and agree to participate in the study (give informed consent)

Who may not be able to join:

For people with Fabry disease:

  • You have a reason why you cannot have an MRI scan, such as claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), metal objects in your body, implanted devices, or tattoos/permanent makeup that are not confirmed safe for MRI
  • You are currently pregnant

For people in the control group:

  • You have been diagnosed with Fabry disease through genetic testing
  • You are a family member of someone who has been diagnosed with Fabry disease through genetic testing
  • You have cancer that is expected to affect your life expectancy
  • You have known heart failure, have previously had a stroke, or have an established kidney disease
  • Your blood pressure medication has been started or changed within the last 3 months before joining the study
  • You have a certain level of reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a reason why you cannot have an MRI scan, such as claustrophobia, metal objects in your body, implanted devices, or tattoos/permanent makeup that are not confirmed safe for MRI
  • You are currently pregnant
