Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 55 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
  • You have been on a stable MS medication for at least 6 months.
  • You have not received physical therapy or occupational therapy in the last 6 months.
  • You are able to stand up from a chair on your own, with or without holding a handrail.

  • For home-based study (Study 2 only): You live with a family member.
  • For home-based study (Study 2 only): You have a helper (such as a family member or friend) who can be present during home exercise sessions and online check-in calls.
  • At an in-person screening, your MS-related movement difficulties fall within a specific range on a standard disability scale (confirm with trial site).
  • At an in-person screening, you show signs of mild memory or thinking difficulties, based on specific memory tests (confirm with trial site).
  • You are currently not physically active, based on a leisure activity questionnaire (confirm with trial site).

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had an MS relapse or worsening of symptoms in the last 3 months.
  • You have had major surgery in the last 6 months or been hospitalised in the last 3 months.
  • You experience shortness of breath or pain at rest that is difficult to control.
  • You have high blood pressure or diabetes that is not well controlled.
  • You have had a bone fracture in the last 6 months.
  • You have difficulty performing everyday tasks (such as dressing or bathing), with or without a mobility aid.
  • You have epilepsy or have had uncontrolled seizures in the past year.
  • You currently take sedative medications (such as diazepam or lorazepam).
  • You currently take medications used to treat Alzheimer's disease or dementia, or are enrolled in a trial for such medications.
  • You currently take antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications.
  • You are considered moderate or high risk for injury during intense physical activity, based on a standard health questionnaire (confirm with trial site).
  • You have significant memory or thinking difficulties beyond mild impairment, based on a phone-based cognitive test (confirm with trial site).
  • You are currently receiving any therapy for memory/thinking problems or physical rehabilitation.
  • You use a pacemaker.
  • At an in-person screening, your heart rate, blood pressure, or blood oxygen levels are outside safe ranges (confirm with trial site).
  • At an in-person screening, you have low bone density based on a heel scan (confirm with trial site).
  • You have reduced feeling in your feet, meaning you cannot feel light touch properly.
  • You have severe difficulty with speaking or understanding language, based on a specific test (confirm with trial site).
  • You have a nerve injury affecting your arms or legs.
  • For home-based study (Study 2 only): You are at high risk of falling, based on a balance test (confirm with trial site).
  • For home-based study (Study 2 only): You are unable to walk at least one block, even with a mobility aid.
