Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You must be able to sign a written consent form
- You must be willing to allow your tumor, tissue, blood, and/or saliva samples to be used for research testing
- You must be able to complete questionnaires on your own or with help
- Your primary language must be English, Spanish, or Arabic
- (For Groups 1–3) You must be willing and able to return in person to the enrolling hospital for at least 2 follow-up visits after your initial pre-treatment visit, for a total of 3 visits
- (For Groups 1–3) Specific lab tests must be performed on your biopsy tissue to check for certain markers related to HPV (confirm with trial site)
- (For Group 4) You have a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of a head and neck cancer or tumor, including cancers of the salivary glands, thyroid, or other head and neck areas, or a multi-cancer early detection blood test that raised concern for cancer
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial that involves a treatment for your cancer
- (For Groups 1–3) You have had another active cancer within the past 5 years — exceptions include certain skin cancers, non-spreading thyroid cancer, non-spreading prostate cancer, a specific type of cervical pre-cancer, or HPV-related throat cancer (confirm with trial site)
- (For Groups 1–3) You have a history of any previous head or neck cancer, other than the one currently being treated
- (For Groups 1–3) You are currently receiving treatment for a previous cancer
- (For Group 4, certain sub-groups) You have had another active cancer within the past 5 years — exceptions include non-spreading prostate cancer, a specific type of cervical pre-cancer, and a certain type of non-spreading skin cancer (confirm with trial site)
- (For Group 4, certain sub-groups) You have a history of a previous head or neck cancer other than your current tumor, or you are still receiving treatment for another cancer — note that some sub-groups within Group 4 do allow this, so please confirm with the trial site
