Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You currently live in California
- You are able to understand what the study involves and follow through with it for the whole duration
- You are able to read and understand a consent form and are willing to sign it
- You are able to speak and read English or Spanish
- You identify as a sexual and/or gender minority (such as LGBTQ+)
- You score 33 or higher on a standard PTSD symptom questionnaire called the PCL-5 (confirm with trial site)
- You are interested in receiving treatment for PTSD
- You are not currently receiving any other therapy (individual or group) specifically for PTSD — therapy for other conditions is allowed
- You are able to attend sessions in person in San Francisco, or you have access to a phone, tablet, or computer that allows video calls for remote sessions
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a medical or mental health reason that makes it unsafe or unsuitable for you to take part in any part of the study (confirm with trial site)
- You have a serious mental health condition — such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or a similar condition — that would make it difficult to fully participate in the study
- You are currently having active thoughts of ending your life
