Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children who have been officially diagnosed with ADHD based on standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5)
- Children between the ages of 3 and 17
- Children who have been on a stable treatment plan for at least 1 month before the trial procedure begins
- Children who have not taken any medications that affect gut bacteria — such as antibiotics or probiotics — for at least 3 months before the trial procedure
Who may not be able to join:
- Children whose parent or guardian is unable to understand the study questionnaires or give official consent on the child's behalf
- Children who have been diagnosed with a single-gene genetic disorder, psychosis, a brain or nervous system disease, or certain digestive conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, or eosinophilic esophagitis
- Children with serious conditions affecting the heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys, or who have cancer
- Children who have another life-threatening condition that requires emergency medical care
- Children who are unable to safely undergo a colonoscopy (a procedure to examine the gut) or cannot tolerate the anesthesia used during it
