Who might be able to join this trial:

For patients:

  • Adults aged 18 or older
  • People scheduled to have a type of keyhole surgery (laparoscopic robotic-assisted partial nephrectomy) as the first treatment for a tumour on one or both kidneys
  • People who have agreed to have their information added to a medical registry called UroCCR
  • People who have agreed to take part in the Rein-3D Personalize study
  • People covered by the French social security system

For healthcare professionals:

  • Staff working in the Urology, Andrology and Renal Transplant Department at Bordeaux University Hospital for at least two months before the 3D models are introduced
  • Those who have given their free, informed, and signed consent to participate

Who may not be able to join:

For patients:

  • People whose cancer has already spread to other parts of the body at the time of joining
  • People who have previously had kidney cancer
  • People who only have one functioning kidney at the time of joining
  • People who have not had a CT scan before surgery, or whose CT scan is not clear enough to create a reliable 3D model
  • People who are under a legal protection order (such as guardianship or curatorship)
  • People who have difficulty understanding or communicating in French

For healthcare professionals:

  • Staff on placements or internships shorter than 6 months
  • Staff who do not have direct contact with patients
