Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 12 years or older who have already started taking a medication called semaglutide (through any arrangement, such as early access programs, standard medical care, self-funded treatment, or special reimbursement), or whose doctor has decided to start them on semaglutide as part of their standard care. This includes people who may have already stopped taking semaglutide by the time the study begins.
- People who have been confirmed through standard medical testing to have a specific genetic form of obesity, involving a gene linked to a particular biological pathway related to weight regulation (called the leptin-melanocortin pathway). The genetic result can be of any classification, including uncertain or even benign results, though people with uncertain or benign genetic findings must also have an additional genetic score available (called a polygenic risk score) (confirm with trial site).
- People who have been fully informed about the study and do not object to taking part. For participants aged 12 to under 18 years, the parent or guardian must also have been fully informed and must not object to their child taking part.
- People who are enrolled in a French social security scheme or the State Medical Assistance program (AME).
Who may not be able to join:
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
